I've been purposely going very slowly and learning on a very tight budget with a strategic timeline of scaling up. I'm a 41 year old grad student and the semester is almost over and most of the typical learning curve stuff has been covered with a very limited "learning tax". I basically started with $20 in costs and have not lost anything. 3 months later I've got $1500 in the business account, $4000 in product at Amazon, lessons learned, ready to really start pushing and rolling out more variations. In my mind, a $10 mistake was easier to swallow than a possible $1000 mistake.
